I was asked to serve as one of two local editors of three successive editions of Time Out Ltd.’s guides to Washington, D.C. The projects involved editing and ensuring the accuracy of the books’ chapters written by local writers, plus I wrote the shopping chapters. Each edition was produced with fresh text and photography. For the 2004 edition, I aided the photographer in scouting locations to shoot in the D.C. region. Enormously fun projects.

Washington made Time Out’s list of “the world’s 75 most exciting cities.” For each, it sought “a personal inside view from a local writer,” who in this case was me.
