This volume collects major works from the first 25 years of David Schwarz’s architecture practice. The diverse range of project types in Washington, D.C., Fort Worth, Dallas, and elsewhere includes residential, commercial, civic, cultural, and academic buildings, plus town squares and the firm’s major sports facilities. Custom-designed furniture and decorative arts are also featured. The oeuvre as a whole shows Schwarz’s transcending tradition and invention and, not least—if one looks carefully—an restrained obsession with the Vienna Secession.
